Our founder, Justine McBride, has been captivated by fashion since she was a young girl — drawn to the textures, movement, and expression that clothing could offer. But as a wife and mom of three, she also became deeply aware of the environmental impact of the fashion industry — and how hard it was to find clothing that looked good, felt good, and did good.

After years in a corporate career, Justine made a thoughtful decision to step away and pursue something more meaningful. Inspired by her family’s entrepreneurial spirit, she began researching how fashion could align with purpose — and discovered that a values-led, sustainability-driven brand was not only possible, but deeply needed.

That vision became Carl & Lyn — a brand for women and men who care about what they wear, who value kindness and connection, and who want their style to reflect their beliefs.
